Ballet Mink & Nicole Colbert Dance/Theatre brings together mother and daughter in a shared concert that offers an eclectic program ranging from contemporary ballet to dance/theatre. Ballet Mink will present several pieces choreographed in collaboration with Cynthia Wong, internationally acclaimed composer who has written music for dance, orchestra, chamber ensemble, voice, and musical theatre.

Nicole Colbert Dance/Theatre will premiere “the home (project)” which explores the complex & complicated relationship we have with home through dance, theatre & narrative. Other works on the program include an excerpt from “Last Stop: Desire,” Nicole Colbert’s dance/theatre adaptation of “A Streetcar Named Desire” by Tennessee Williams & “Before the Party,” a solo dance that explores the process of getting ready for an evening out & the mixed emotions of the experience.


Closing the program is Ballet Mink’s “Celebration in 9’s,” with music by the Danish composer Henrik Goldschmidt, an upbeat explosion of exuberance and joyous energy.
